No Shows at the Show???

I am not that diluted of a person to think that everyone will be at every single show that I do at this point of my career. So please don't take this post as me being an overly sensitive prick. It bothers me that people tell me before the show that they are coming and then don't show up for the performance. Then after the show, they hit me up and say one or all of these three things.

  1. How was the show?

  2. Sorry I didn't make the show (insert reason here)...

  3. When is your next show, I'll be at that one.

It's not even funny anymore how I can predict what people are going to say to me the day after the show. I have no problem with people telling me that they cant make the show when I make it known I have a gig coming up. I have no problem with people not coming. But the comments after you don't show up bother me. Again I'm not saying this to be an asshole, but put yourself in my position for a second.

Show after show you are greeted by the same 3 general responses. Show after show people have last minute reasons why they couldn't come. It is not like it's a one time occurrence. You have at least 10-15 people putting you through the same song and dance after every show. It gets redundant and annoying and I know you would feel like me after years and years of the same exposure.

So to combat all of that, I just respond with "you had to be there" when people ask me how the show went. Especially, towards people that told me that they were coming. My homegirl Ajae said something profound to me about this subject. She said "people always want to support you from a distance ("how was the show?" or"I'mma try to come to your shows one day") when you're trying to come up but want front row seats to your success."

Jump aboard now before its too late...

I Love You Music

This is just one of the reasons I love music so much. Music is so much more than just words.

New Michael Album

I am one of the biggest Michael Jackson fans out there but I am not happy about this new "Michael" album. I feel like the threw his vocals on a few songs and put this album out trying to make a profit. I was watching Oprah when Teddy Riley and Eddie Cascio, some of the featured producers on the album were on, and Oprah asked them directly do you think Michael would have wanted this project to come out. They danced and pranced around the question. At that moment I knew this was something that was thrown together to make a profit and for a fan of Mike, I will probably have a hard time listening without bias.

STFU Sometime

This commercial makes me laugh and touches home all at the same time. Black women always wanna point out some flaws but then they dont like it when you flip the script on em. Not all black women are like that but a lot of the ones I know are... So from me and State Farm, STFU sometime LOL

Metrodome Roof Collapse

This could have been a disaster if this would have happened on gameday instead of the day before. Can you imagine if players would have been on the field what would have happened? Nonetheless, I think its a fun video to watch. The Vikings have been wanting a new stadium for a while now and mother nature may have given them the person excuse to get one now.

Heating Up

During the first few weeks of the season everybody wanted to give me hell about my boys not performing well. I'll admit, I deserved it cuz I sold a lot of wolf tickets this summer but I understood it would take them a lil minute to get rolling. But low and behold they've won 6 in a row and DWade and Bron are starting to roll. So I just wanted to take the time to ask, where are all the naysayers and comment makers now? Like I've been saying all year, it's a 82 game season and you are really only judged in the spring. But I do have a big grin on my faced aimed in the direction of you folks who made early season comments...

Anyway, I got a flight to catch. We play Golden State Friday. Peace. lol

J. Cole featuring Omen

I've always given credit to Omen for helping me in my career to get better so it makes me feel good to see him doing his thing on the road with J. Cole (who I'm also a fan of.) Check out them performing "Enchanted" which can be found on Cole's latest mixtape "Friday Night Lights".

ILLwrite Video Shoot

On Saturday I shot the video for ILLwrite and I think I did a good job for my first video. I thought that I would feel odd with the camera in my face all day but I really didn't notice it all. It actually made me think about doing a lil acting (maybe down the road). It was definitely cold as hell out there shooting but nobody said shooting a video in December would be pretty. I think the scenes that we shot at the Drake hotel will really add to the concept of the video. There were a few shots that I kind of made up on the spot while we were at the Drake Hotel with the assistance of the director that were pretty fun to do. I really just tried to give the camera things to work with and not come off flat and I feel confident about the job I did. Shout out to Cutta, Nate, Sauce, Mike, Julian, Joey, Rach, Keia for their assistance. A homeless man on the street called me "Pretty Tony" cuz of my outfit. That was hilarious! I wish I had that on video lol. I personally cant wait til the finished product and I hope that y'all enjoy it.

ILLwrite Live (Shrine Opening for Dwele)

Opening for Dwele was a milestone in my career that I will always feel fondly about. I had been preparing my part of the show for about 2 weeks so to see it all come together and run efficiently was a blessing. I performed 4 songs that night, Keep Goin On, Cell Sex, ILLwrite, and Fast Cars (all which will be on the HeartBeat album.) It's always fun performing in front of a packed house. I always look forward to showing people what I can do on stage. I also met Bionce Foxx before the show, so it was nice to actually meet her since her station has been playing a lot of my music. Comments are welcomed on the video! Lemme know what you think!

Heat Impressions

That game went pretty much as I expected. I didn't think Miami was gon win b/c they simply haven't had enough "in game time" together. Whereas the core on the Celtics been together 3 years. Now, if Miami loses tonight to the 76ers, then that will shock me. Quite honestly, I would have been shocked if they pulled out the W last night. I'm glad DWade was able to make it through the game injury free (although rusty as hell). The Celtics are closer to 100% than the Heat and they only lost by 8. I'll take it.

What did blow me was that I told some people that I thought were "sports fans" that I thought Miami was gonna lose last night. They jumped on me talking about I'm supposed to be ride or die for the Heat. So by that logic you are tellin me to be stupid and think they are gonna go 82-0??? I consider myself a part time analyst for ESPN, I have to take in all accounts when predicting outcomes. That don't mean I love my team any less and I still got them getting to the Finals and winning if they got home court. Never mind... y'all just want me to be punch drunk in love with the Heat and think they gon go 81-1 (since last nites lost).

Chicago Bears

If you wanna know what I think about the Bears losing to the Redskins just check my last 2 posts about the Bears after the last 2 games... I can't even deal with them right now...

The Game Cheats

I wanted to pose this issue to all of my video game heads out there. Do you ever feel like the computer is cheating you when you play the game? I'm sure we all have, but where did this notion come from? What makes this statement logical to say. Is the game really cheating us or are we not on our 'A' game for that particular moment? Or does it really even matter? I'll go with the latter. That shit be cheatin!

U Ever Wonder?

I was watching the Event on NBC last night and it was a scene where the president's wife comes into the oval office questioning him about a threat he made to the people he is in conflict with. Now, he didn't have to go through with his threat b/c the terrorist character didn't go through with his demands, but yet the president's wife questioned if it didn't work was he gonna go through with his threat. That made me think, do you ever think Michelle questions President Obama and he out here tryna make the world good for you and me? LOL I was watching it and thinking that this is bigger than what you think he should do cuz it's not just about appeasing you... I don't know... weigh in with your thoughts people!

Turning Point

Yesterday was the turning point in the Chicago Bears season and I hope you all realize it. The Giants really exposed that we couldn't pass protect 2 weeks ago & I hope you all didn't drink the kool aid after beating the Division 3 All-Stars aka the Carolina Panthers. The bottom line is that we cant win playing the way we do. I don't understand why Mike Martz wont call for shorter routes to be run by the WRs. As soon as they snap the ball Cutler has 3 men in his face! But we all remember the 3-1 start we had last year only to finish 7-9. This year we started 4-1 and now sit 4-2 after losing a home game to a team that hasn't won on the road all year. Understand that there are no "easy" games (we play Buffalo in 2 weeks) for the Bears b/c they aren't that good to begin with. The book is out on the Bears and teams will continue to exploit their weakness until the Bears fix it. In the words of Dennis Green "they are who we thought they were... (in preseason)" This is the beginning of the end of the Bears season starting yesterday...

More Aware

I realized I need to be more aware of world events. I heard Mike & Mike talking about the miners in Chile this morning on my drive into work and I had no clue of what was going on. When they finally stopped the oil spill, I didn't know about it until 2 weeks later. I definitely didn't follow the situation with the governor in Illinois and I cant even name anybody that has been mentioned for running for mayor in the city of Chicago. I had to shake my head at myself! So starting today I am going to start checking cnn.com and at least read the headlines. There is more to life than sports, video games and music. I need to start acting like it!

NBA 2K11 HEAT UPDATE

Me and my brother (@cuttapacman) always play the season mode religiously on a few games every year for braggin rights. We play Madden, NCAA Football, NBA 2K, and College Basketball if it comes out. Usually the way it shakes down is I win on the football games and he beats me on the basketball games. I am changing that this year! I have been playing with the Heat on 2K since Shaq Diesel was my center and I haven't managed to beat Cutta and the rest of his Lakers squad yet. But needless to say, I ain't had no team in the last few years but now I got Bron & Bosh on my squad and I'm killin! I (Heat) started out 6-0 while Cutta (Lakers) tripped out of the blocks to a 2-3 start. Currently I'm 9-2 and he is 8-3. I'll keep y'all posted on who wins the title.

Oh yeah, we play all 82 games on 11 min quarters. No simulation here!

Calling All Bears Fans

If you are a Bears fan, how do you feel after watching that 23-6 win yesterday? If you are like me, you can't feel good b/c I am starting to think that we don't have a QB on the team at all. Let's face it, it's only a matter of time before Cutler bites us in the ass and Todd Collins is on his death bed. I cant say Hanie looked like he was a viable option so where does that leave us? Well we are 4-1 and I'm still saying that we need to clean house on everybody. Why? Because as I watched that team yesterday, it dawned on me that the best the Bears can do under Lovie at this point is 9-7. Let's be honest, thats not good enough. So if you ask me, Lovie, the coaching staff, Jay Cutler and front office need to be let go in order for us to get better. Because with them in place, our upside is marginal...

The Weekend Is Here!

When the weekend finally hits I look forward to doing a few things. Since I work Mon - Fri and I work on my music Mon - Thur nite I, like all people, look forward to the weekend! I typically like to do a whole lot of nothing on the weekend. It's football season so I find myself infront of a TV for the majority of the time and I get some long needed Xbox time in. If I have Daddy Duty I'm usually ready to take Juice home the minute she starts talking too much & I actually like being away from my phone. My tweets are drastically reduced and most times I don't even know where my phone is on the weekend! So glad its Friday!!!

Most Influential

Of the countless entertainers and performers that have become before us, who would you say has had the most impact on your life from a creative standpoint? For me, it would be a combination of people. I would have to say Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders, Andre 3000, Kanye West, and Jay-Z are very active influences in my daily life as well as my music. Who's influential to you and why?

NBA ELITE 11 Delayed

I downloaded the NBA Elite 11 demo this past weekend................ When I tell you that NBA Live 09 is better than that, I mean it!!! That game is pure trash! I couldn't play more than 2 trips down the floor cuz it was that bad. But apparently I am not the only one that thinks the game is trash. EA sports is reportedly delaying the game til next year because of the many flaws within the game. When I heard this I instantly "laughed out loud" because they just cant keep up with the NBA 2K series. Then I thought, how bad must a game be for you to delay the game an entire year? Remember, I only played the demo and that has limited game modes. The bottom line is, the EA sports basketball series is for people that can't hoop or have no idea of how to hoop in real life! 2K for life!

Check the link for the official word from EA

Perfection vs. Gun Shy

In trying to create the dopest album ever for myself and listeners, it has obviously taken longer than expected. I actually thought the album would be available for listeners in October. That doesn't seem to be the case now as I am on my third revision of the album. As I started on this 3rd revision I asked myself "am I being a perfectionist or am I being gun shy"? What I mean by that is, am I over thinking what I am doing and taking people's opinions into account? I think the answer is a little of both. I know being on the level that I am right now I can't afford to lose listeners. The 2nd revision of Heartbeat was a dope hip hop album. There lies the problem. If I am going to catch a listeners ear, I have to catch them from the very first moment they hear my project. I can't assume a listener is going to listen 2 or 3 times before getting it. That's just not the music listening society we live in today and people have short attention spans. So I apologize for the delay once again but I promise the album will be worth the wait. Be looking out for new music coming from me in the coming weeks!

Revis Island vs. Primetime

OK football heads... if you got to pick one of these shut down corners, who would you pick and why? For me, it's a no brainer. Give me Primetime. Yeah, Deion's technique wasn't the best but his speed was unmatched. And if he intercepted the ball, you might as well put 6 on the board. Revis is tough though. I gotta give him credit but I don't see him turning interceptions into 6.

Hip Hop Album of the Decade

I saw this question yesterday being asked my man Mike B. for his radio show. He got a majority of answer of Jay-Z's Blueprint for the best album of the decade. I would beg to differ (but what else is new). Instead, I'll pose the question to you. What was the best album of the decade?

9/11 Hoax???

The 9 year anniversary of 9/11 just recently passed and I found myself watching some documentaries on the History channel the day of (Yes, I like the History channel). While I was watching, I started to think about the government and how they spin things and how they hide things from the American public & media. In this same thought, I thought maybe 9/11 could have been some kind of cover up or something. So in the days following, I started looking up information and video on 9/11 and I came across this film called "Loose Change". All I'm going to say is watch it and tell me if you don't have a different perspective after your viewing. I am not saying that 9/11 was entirely made up, but I am saying that it is possible that there is more to the story than what we saw.

Thoughts on Trey Songz Album

I cant say that I'm a Trey Songz fan (and I know a lot of ladies think I'm hatin) but I'm just not a fan. At best, I can say that he is cool and he can sing but that's usually where the conversation ends for me. But I must say I am impressed with this new album! I didn't like that Bottomz Up song at all but this album may get rotation in my ipod. And that depends on if I feel like hearing R. Kelly or not lol. But I would definitely suggest that you buy it or download it. It's worth a listen. My only knock on the album is it's a tad bit too long. Its only so much we can take...

NAME THAT SAMPLE

Can you name what modern day song used this sample? I'll give you a hint, one is a neo-soul singer and one is a hip hop legend.

Fan Building 101:Dummies Guide to Your First 100 Fans

I was asked the age old question people ask in this business of music. How Do I GET RICH? There is no easy answer to that question. There are no tricks and short cuts to making it and if you find them be very leery because your career will end just as dramatically as it started. If you notice, most of the commercially made stars tend to fade after a few years because they missed the most important step in the business; Fan Building. True fans are the reason Atmosphere can tour consistently across the country and overseas without having any radio play at all. When was the last time you seen Lil Flip? The most talented artist around you who spit hot fiya and got 16s that rival any Jay whether its Z, Cole, or Electronica often miss this step. Nice MCs with the rarely seen and mythological "budget" that most DIYs never see, sometimes fall short of this. Its not the size of your email list either; its the effectiveness and efficiency of it.

Lets start at the basics. Your family and friends should be your biggest fans in the beginning. Your homeboys that you play Xbox with, smoke, drink, hoop, play laser tag, bird watch I don’t know what you do, but those are your first consumers. At your family reunion and picnics everyone should know your music. This is the easiest way to start because these people tend to care about you. They are often dismissive at first but if you continuously work and they see that you are serious, most will have a vested interest in your success and the word of mouth begins here. They tell a friend who tells a friend who tells a friend etc. The underline goal is to build a network of BRAND LOYAL fans that are active participants in your career.

Next let us visit the world that is social networking. Now somehow people misunderstood the term "social networking" and it became "hey i don’t know you but I’m going to bother the hell out of telling you to listen to my music without ever making a serious connection to you". This is NOT cool. If you have followers or friends you don’t know, get to know them. Talk to them on a real level before shoving kool aid down their throats. It’s a personal relationship that converts people to fans.

Get out of your house and find a place to perform. Find outlets whether open mics, local showcases, or block parties and get emails. Free is a great tool and a way to grab people immediately. Giving away free music in exchange for email addresses is one of the old tried and true methods in this business. You have to have a way to keep the people updated to build the story. Limit the amount of messages you send. No one wants to open their email and see five messages from you every day. Have a monthly or bi monthly schedule. It is important to keep them updated with the latest important news, but sometimes less is more.

These are not mind blowing tips and are pretty standard for beginners. As you grow so should your marketing plan. If you noticed, I didn’t mention media and press. Some people start immediately which is not wrong, but media tends to like a polished product. After building a small base and getting some stage time you have a better story and gives the media something to talk about. But be strategic in the manner you approach press. This is a copy cat industry so use press and media from similar artist. Contact the people who wrote stories about them and build from there. And lastly ABS(always be selling). Everything needs to be sharp and precise. Stand apart and above.

Favorite R. Kelly

I was riding into work today and I popped in an old R. Kelly CD and I started to think, "this man got hits...". I'm more of a fan of his "lets get it in" songs than bs like "Supaman High". But if you had to pick one R. Kelly song to listen to for the rest of your life, what would it be? There are only a few wrong answers in my book but I'm interested to know what people's favorites are.

3 Balls and 2 Strikes

I know we are not supposed to judge people without their day in court but damn... I can't believe how hard this guy is goin to keep what seems like a lie going. I know it's "deny til you die" but Roger is taking it to the next level. They got syringes on you with your blood and DNA on it, not to mention people already dropped dime on you. I guess Roger is facing a full count on this one.

Meanwhile, Barry Bonds ain't never tested positive for shit or been in this kind of hot water. But he still doesn't get recognized as the Home Run King??? Really??? Furthermore, why is anybody in the steroid era getting in trouble for something that wasn't illegal when they was doing it??

Man, I love the Yankees but baseball as a business ain't shit. That's why they will never be America's past time again. That belongs to football...

In Case You Missed It...

In case you missed it last night, I took to my twitter to vent/explain my upcoming album HeartBeat.

"But back to what I was sayin. The next topic was the album... I put a lot of time and effort into this album and I really dug to get past the surface. I didn't want to create a typical rap album. Meaning I didn't wanna talk about money hoes and cars. I wanted 2 show ppl who I really was & what makes me tick. So when I talk about $ I'm talkin about being broke & trying to better myself. I wanna get $ to improve my situation. I'm having a hella time with my BM right now & the only way to fix that situation is with money. Cuz I wanna get a top notch lawyer to put on her ass. I aint tryna keep goin thru the BS she puts me thru. I wanna get $ cuz I know its gon help ppl like @BigNateWill who been strugglin tryin to help me achieve this dream. Hell, if it wasn't for @Duranj my album wouldn't even be possible! So I owe them more than a typical rap album. I owe them more than a project that ppl will skim thru & delete 4rm their ipod after 1 listen. I'm tellin yall. I been thru so many emotions, trials & tribulations while creating this album. I aint never felt this way about nothin b4. I seriously considered quittin after I was done with the album about a month ago. I mean, can u imagine walkin away from something u love after doing it day in and day out for about 10 years? I was at that point b/c my responsibilities are changing as I get older. And as a Dad you get to a point where you have to ask yourself... "When is it time to focus on taking the 'sure' way out to make sure they are taken care of?" Feelings like that spawned songs like "Is It Too Late" & "Dear Public". Then just examining what the music "buying" public listens to & comparing that to what my album is inspired "Kool Aid" & "Show Business". Every song on HeartBeat is a statement to my view on what I'm going thru and what I see and my struggle. Hell, I even got a verse on a joint called "ILLwrite" talkin about uninformed ppl who try and debate about Illuminati. Idk if yall saw my blog from Friday but I mentioned something about artist giving their entire project away. I understand the reasoning for it but I feel like I put everything into my album so if u support my music u r gonna purchase it. If u r intrigued by my music, u are gonna purchase it. I'm not saying that to be a asshole or a dickhead, but I feel like I'm worth that. If I don't feel I'm worth that, who else will?? I'm not gon tax yall on it but the price point will be reasonable. HeartBeat is the inner voice of everybody that is honest with themselves. Things aint sweet, but we want things to change. We all got dreams, and we all see our life how it could be. That's all I'm tryna get across with my project. I'm not bout to bull shit yall and act like my life is MTV when 90% of us aint living that. I'm not gonna be another Chicago artist with no identity and do what's hot. Ima do Pennjamin Bannekar. And if that aint good enough at the end of the day then fine... But I believe in my heart that my album is your voice."

Lightbulb to Music Artists

I was on twitter browsing and I saw so many links to download people's music for free. That made me think... "Why are you giving your music away for free that you worked so hard on?" It doesn't make sense or cents people. Now, I know you gotta build your fan base and get people to know who you are and that's fine and dandy but at the end of the day are you only making music to give away for free? I think a lot of people need to examine their approach with their music. In most cases, you had to pay for studio time, you had to pay for some album cover artwork, and you probably had to buy a beat or two along the way. So you spent your time, effort, and hard earned money on your project only to turn around and give it away for free huh? Again, I understand the notion of gaining notoriety and building your fan base up but I think its time for artists to start valuing themselves and what they do.

You may take my advice or you may not take it but one thing I know is that my album HeartBeat won't be free. I value my time and effort that I put in. I won't charge an arm and a leg but I feel like people should pay me for my work because I'm worth that. How about you???

Fantasy Football

I don't know about y'all but I live and die with Fantasy Football and I encourage those that don't play to get in the game! Most leagues are free and if you are a fan of a NFL team that's probably not gonna do anything this year (like me being a fan of the Bears), it will keep you engaged in the NFL all season long. This is my 3rd year doing it and it's the best thing goin to me. Shoutout to whoever came up with this idea but please... don't pick the players I want so I can actually win my league this year! 1st time players that are swayed to play by this post can thank me later...

ESPN do better...

I was on ESPN.com yesterday and saw that there was an article about Tiger Woods ex wife speaking out for the first time in 9 months. My first thought was "who the fuck cares?". I mean seriously Elin, yeah, u got dooped into thinking your husband was a good guy while he was hittin everything that moved. But the facts still remain, you had 2 kids by him and you bout to get paid. So I'm sorry, nobody gives 2 shits about what you have to say. Just take your overwhelming settlement and peace out!

And ESPN... really??? This is what y'all choose to do a TV piece on? Y'all couldn't find anything about sports to talk about in this segment huh?

Maybe It's Me...

Has there ever been a time that somebody has come to you telling you a story that you generally don't give 2 shits about hearing? I swear this happens to me everyday! I think I am a magnet for stories that dont have "nothing to do with nothing" but I always seem to get trapped listening to em. I just dont know how much more fake listening I can do people. Step yall story game up pronto!

Pennjamin Plans To

In the next several months I plan to take on a few different projects. My goal in this endeavor is to entertain people by different methods. You all know that I am completing the album HeartBeat right now, but I have a few other things up my sleeve that I am working on. Look for these things to come from the Pennjamin Bannekar/ILLwrite camp.

  1. HeartBeat (the album)

  2. Concerts

  3. Book entitled "Music Notes"

  4. Reality Webisodes

  5. Sitcom Webisodes

  6. ILLwrite Music Group (I have a few artists in mind for my indie label)

Stay tuned to the blog and my twitter for more updates regarding these coming projects. And if you haven't, sign up to my email mailing list today!

Social Networking

Help me out people... why do people get on social networking sites and only talk to people that they already know and nobody else? What the hell is the point of that? If I wanted to talk to people I already know, why am I on the social networking site in the first place? I'm sure if I know these people in real life I can easily get in contact with these people via phone or text, right? Or maybe I just missed the boat. Maybe, I'm the only one that thinks you are supposed to network with people that you don't know b/c "hey maybe we can help each other out". Nah, I think I'm probably on the wrong boat and you are only supposed to just talk to people you know...

Fat Albert Haynesworth

This guy just cant catch a break... First, you couldn't pass you conditioning test after you skipped the team's summer workouts b/c you were doing your own workout. Not to mention you had a hissy fit when the new coach changed the defense scheme. Then, not only did you fail the test the first 2 times you attempted it, but then your pride got hurt so you claimed your knee was messed up and you couldn't take the test for about 5 extra days. Now this muscle condition is threatening to make you miss some more practice time. I am glad you are not a skill player b/c you would not be on my fantasy football team at all. Good luck though.

NBA 2K11

If you are a video game fan like I am, and you love the Big Homie aka Michael Jordan like I do, then I'm sure you are just as excited about this as I am! I'm a huge sneakerhead and I hated in previous installments of the game they gave you wack Nikes and Air Jordans to outfit your players in. (I run with D-Wade and the Heat on 2K and being that he is the face of the Jordan brand right now you can see how this is a problem for me). But the NBA 2K11 producers finally came through for me this year.

"We have so many shoe heads into our game that when we put out our first trailer for 'NBA 2K11', people were doing freeze frames and capturing screen grabs of the Space Jam shoes he has on in the video." said Eric Boenisch. In all there are 40 shoes total in the game including 25 pairs of Air Jordans along with CP3s, Melo 5s and other shoes from the Jordan line to fill out the closet.

It's small details like this that make the game more accurate to me. Can't wait til Oct 5th!

Too Many "artists" Not Enough "fans"

I asked this question on my facebook and twitter yesterday evening just to somewhat gather some "data" on the topic before I wrote my post.

"How many rappers do u personally know? Better yet, how many people do u personally know that do music?"

And like I expected, everybody knows a bunch of so-called "rappers" and "artists". I'm sorry but that's just not how it should go. Just because you got a mic and some equipment at the crib doesn't mean you should rap, sing or do music. And friends of these people should start telling them they are wack because it's a lot of clutter out here to sift through. I know people got dreams and all that, that's fine, but at what point does a dream become a nightmare?

And because y'all are wack, y'all make it that much harder for the good people to get noticed. People are tired of coming across people that "do music". It's so cliche. I wish y'all would find a new fad to jump on so people can find and invest in the good artists.

Tiyana Payne

We don't have that many female emcees in the game worth listening to but Tiyana Payne definitely does not fit into that category. Check her website http://tiyanapayne.com/#/home and cop her album for only $5

Chicago Sports

I wont lie to you and tell you that I'm some big time hometown fan cuz I am certainly not. Up until very recently I was sayin "fuck the Bulls" (cuz they don't have MJ in a front office position but I backed off of those sentiments when they gave Scottie a small position), I could care less about the Sox, Cubs, and Blackhawks but I swear to God... Chicago sports always do you in!! The White Sox lost last night which means they are 5 games back now. The Bulls aint won since 98 the Blackhawks traded damn near everybody away on a "championship team" cuz they on some cheap shit. The Cubs need to just stop. I have nothing positive to say about them. And the Bears, well we got hope this year. The Bears are the only Chicago team I live and die with but I'd be shocked if we finish in front of the Vikings and Packers in the division. So Chicagoians might as well get ready for what we are always used to saying "maybe next year". GO HEAT!

Brett Favre (yet again...)

Is it me, or does anybody else feel like Brett Favre doesn't want to play this year?? Before I thought he was just puttin on this front to get attention but I really think he didn't want to come back this year. Nevertheless, we Bears fans will have to endure him one more year (we think).
